Database Developer

Position Description:GBOT team is looking for a Database Programmer to join a technologically advanced team focusing on developing and enhancing the Lending applications. Candidate must have strong expertise in data modelling, database programming and database concepts and experience in implementing mission critical applications. Candidate should be fluent in related technologies including database indexes, query tuning and optimization and associated development tools. To be successful, the role will require the individual to understand the banking technology landscape, and to offer creative solutions that integrate current capabilities with proprietary system builds. Job Functions/Duties and Responsibilities:Programming using SQL and PL/SQL and related technologiesQuery tuning and optimizationProvide solutions to the data engineering challengesWork as part of a banking Agile SquadWork in the Agile development methodologies, collaborating with business and technology teams located globallyCandidate must have good communication skills and have the ability to lead IT deliverablesActively contribute and participate in sprint grooming and planning discussions, daily stand-ups, and Agile ceremoniesSkills Required:5+ years of experience working with highly available and large volume databasesDeep understanding of database concepts and related technologiesStrong experience in database SQL and PL/SQL programming with DB2 & SQL Server databasesHands-on experience with performance tuning, optimizing database queries, etc.Hands-on experience with high performance data processingHands-on experience with tools for Version Control, Job Scheduling, etc.Experience in collaborating with partners and stakeholders across geography and time zonesGood communication skills and should be able to work across both Business Users and IT teams across geographical regions and time zones as well as the ability to lead IT deliverablesPractical working experience in Agile development methodologiesSkills Desired:Understanding of requirements of large enterprise applications (security, entitlements, etc.)Understanding of modern databases (NoSQL, Cloud-based, etc.)Exposure to SnowflakeEducation:Minimum BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.#J-18808-Ljbffr
