Emergent Method is seeking qualified candidates to fill an analyst position on a large-scale IT system implementation project. The selected individual will lead analytics maintenance and enhancement activities working with client personnel and project team. The individual will work with a project Sprint team serving as the team lead and prepping, developing, and refining future sprints while reporting on the current team status in the broader meetings.This is a full-time position that will support ongoing project operations in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Additionally, candidates should have relevant technical backgrounds and experience with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.Key responsibilities include:Leading daily internal calls focused on solution assessment, cross team dependencies, and internal touchpointsCoordinating between the onshore and offshore teams on solutions, progress, upcoming refinement items, and the current Sprint itemsAttending daily stand-up and supporting the team in providing and communicating necessary informationPresent enhancements and bugs to the team to develop common understanding allowing for solution understanding and sizingWorking directly with the business analyst to develop user stories for the team including gathering requirements and defining acceptance criteriaWork with development team members to build and validate new dashboards / enhance dashboards / fix bugs related to dashboards or extract, transform, and load (ETL) jobsCreate dashboard mock-ups or prototypes in Tableau for review with stakeholdersWork with client stakeholders to define requirements for new or enhanced reports or dashboardsCreate user stories and acceptance criteria and support sprint planning, backlog grooming and refinement sessionsPresent user stories as requested during backlog meetingsWork directly with the product owner on questions and prioritization activitiesDiscuss upcoming enhancements and defects with other technical analysts across teams to understand cross team impactsUpdate documentation and provide reporting as necessaryTroubleshooting and resolving issues, working cross-team to develop and implement solutions, and providing technical support and consultationInvestigating root causes of client and system issues and proposing effective solutionsCollaborating effectively with project team membersCreate and deliver training content and provide user support with respect to available dashboard suitePrepare and facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) sessions with users andsupport user UAT activitiesDevelop, validate, and deliver ad hoc reportsUtilizing strong communication skills to present and communicate data, trends, insights, and recommendationsQualifications

Ideal candidates should possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:A bachelor’s degree in information sciences, computer science, management information systems, or a related technical field is preferred (experience that demonstrates commensurate experience will be considered in lieu of a degree)3 – 5 years’ experience designing and developing complex analytics solutions. At least one year in a lead capacityExperience with Tableau or similar visualization tool requiredMid-level experience developing / tuning SQL queries requiredExperience testing / validating reports and dashboards, including creating relevant documentationKnowledge of data warehousing conceptsExperience working independently with user stakeholders to facilitate requirements gathering sessions, design sessions, supporting UATStrong technical skills including SQL, understanding of databases, and web-based applicationsAbility to transform technical information into functional questions/solutionsExperience with Jira or similar toolsStrong analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skillsQuick learner with the ability to pivot swiftly based on changing directionAbility to multitask and juggle multiple requests and competing prioritiesSelf-motivated and deadline-oriented to ensure tasks are completed without supervisionAbility to be a team player, foster a cooperative environment with the project team, and adapt to the teamPreferred Qualifications:Health and Human Services or Medicaid industry experience a plusExperience in Agile development methodologiesExperience with integrated eligibility systems and enterprise applicationsBackground
