Cayuga Health's commitment to our employees includes competitive compensation, comprehensive employee benefits programs, and the opportunity to explore and build a career in healthcare through our many professional development programs.Roles and Responsibilities:Must be capable of setting acquisition factors, positioning patient, and evaluating images for optimal image quality, in accordance with physician's instructions.Ensure department policies are adhered to by following patient identification policy, documenting patient's surgical history and implant consent, as well as any changes/variations to protocol on requisition. Follow all P+P regarding use of ISTAT (Per sites worked)Follow the Radiation Safety Policies for patients and staff by using proper shielding and collimation and following Imaging Pregnancy Policy.Completes all steps involved with the exam including: documentation of patient history, tech info, 'Universal Time Out', Biopsy supplies used, clips used, exams, and scanned paperwork PACS.Assess stock levels and enter stock/pantry orders in computer system.Required Skills and Experience:Education:

Minimum of Associates degree, Radiologic Sciences ARRT Certification in Mammography preferred. For those not currently certified, the requirement is to become certified within 1 year of the date of hire (except for Per Diems - where this will not be required - but still is preferred)Experience:

Preference of two years' experience, but new graduates welcomed.Licensure:

ARRT credentials for diagnostic imaging and NYS license.Preferred Skills and Experience:Problem-solving ability and attention to detail is preferredGood written and oral communication skills preferred.Requires the ability to prioritize work, manage time wisely and adjust to changes in work volumes.Physical Requirements:Must be able to push, pull, bend, safely transfer patients and ambulate without assistance.
