Overview:
Link Group hosts applications from numerous locations across the globe. Primarily Link uses a combination of 3rd party data centres and Azure cloud hosting located in the UK, Australia, and India. There are 15,000 end points (workstations and servers). The end points include distributed server technology across Windows, Unix, and Midrange servers. The overall platform includes servers, storage, and Azure cloud virtual machines. Link also has significant investment in network technologies across Campus WAN, LAN, Wireless and Mobile components. The scale and size of IT Infrastructure is managed through a complex workflow of monitoring, maintenance, service request fulfillment, compliance, and transformation, patching, upgrades, virtualization, containerization, and re-engineering. Over and above this, there is a technology operations function which manages the life cycle of Infrastructure & Platform via ITIL process execution and governance, Incident, Problem, Change, Asset Management. This role is to be part of one of the teams involved in Infrastructure & Platform Management and Technology Operations to deliver the required book of work as an individual contributor and subject matter expert in concerned technical domains involved. This role is at team member level reporting into the team lead of the function in scope.
Key Accountabilities and Main Responsibilities:
Work as either of L1, L2 or L3 roles within technical function as designed by functional lead
Deliver work as per required technical standards and run book requirements
Follow work delivery method designed as per workflow process in the company
Demonstrate eagerness and urge to learn newer technology and processes to step-up as a cross-skilled resource
Delivery hands-on changes as required in the Infrastructure Environment as per run book / process document shared
Create and Maintain version-controlled changes into ITIL documents such as run books
Demonstrate technical acumen and skills to solve complex engineering problems related to IT Infrastructure and Cloud Platforms
Demonstrate passion and interest in innovative solutions towards virtualization and automation to simplify the workflow and outcomes in the team
Expand knowledge on newer technology stacks in servers, storage, and network domains
Demonstrate basic knowledge of programming and scripting which could be required to automate or simplify the workflow involved - basic query language
Assist and support other colleagues for common problem solving or achieving results for the team and company
Demonstrate good communication skills in verbal and writing form

Experience & Personal Attributes:
0-2 Years’ experience in the design, implementation, and support of a wide range of IT infrastructure systems
0-2 Years’ experience in a mission-critical financial services environment within a system administrator, system architect role or ITIL expert role
Basic familiarization of Cloud technology especially Azure
Demonstrated front line network support experience
Exposure to Infrastructure Architecture principles and documentation
Highly Professional approach and Customer Focused
Ability to approach technical issues and problems in an analytical and solutions-focused manner
Understanding and appreciation for a disciplined IT approach to incident, problem, and change management
Work in a Transparent and Accountable manner
Good organizational skills with the discipline to complete daily operational tasks accurately and consistently
Have a ‘Can-Do’ and ‘Challenger’ attitude
Take initiative on continuous improvement
