Senior Engineer – Enterprise Engineering (REMOTE)Position Description

Our Senior Engineer is a key member of the Mobility Management platform engineering staff working across the organization to provide a friction-less experience to our customers and maintain the highest standards of protection and availability. The ideal candidate has broad and deep technical knowledge, typically ranging from front-end UIs through back-end systems and all points in between.

Position Responsibilities

Scope, design, and build scalable, resilient distributed systems.

Build product definitions and leverage your technical skills to drive toward the right solution.

Engage in cross-functional collaboration throughout the entire software lifecycle.

Lead in design sessions and scripting/code reviews with peers to elevate the quality of engineering across the organization.

Define, create, and support reusable application automation/components/patterns from a business and technology perspective.

Utilize programming languages like Python, PowerShell, or other object-oriented languages, SQL, and NoSQL databases.

Provide knowledge sharing, mentoring, and systems training to team members as needed.

Consistently share best practices and improve processes within and across teams.

Assure 24x7 operations and stability of client endpoints with a high regard for end-user experience.

Support the creation of the enterprise-level roadmap in terms of client endpoints for future business demands.

Participate in and sometimes lead design sessions and code/script reviews with peers to elevate the quality of engineering across the organization with respect to packaging software to be distributed, different detection methods, and scripting to carry out different tasks and troubleshoot devices.

Provide business and IT customers with operational support for our different MDM (Mobile Device Management) solutions (Intune, Ivanti, SCCM, etc...) for Windows, Macs, and Linux devices.

Build and deploy business solutions in different MDM solutions (Intune, Ivanti, SCCM, etc...).

Build product definitions and use your technical skills to drive toward the right solution.

Qualifications

Extensive hands-on experience with endpoint management platforms such as Intune, SCCM, and JamF (Ivanti is a plus).

Moderate to advanced understanding of Active Directory (both on-prem and Azure AD) and enterprise-level networks.

Demonstrated experience in PowerBI.

Experience in the maintenance of virtual workstation platforms such as Citrix, VDI, and AVD (Azure Subscriptions are desired).

Experience with management of security compliance configurations (GPOs and CSPs).

Proven track record in automating processes and workflows in the context of User and Device management.

Strong Windows and Mac endpoint troubleshooting, including the ability to decipher logs.

Excellent comprehension, verbal, and written communication skills.

Ability to effectively communicate with various audiences (leadership, highly technical, and non-technical business partners).

Advanced PowerShell and/or Python scripting skills.

Proven track record in project management, including the identification of milestones, due dates, and priority.

Experience with Endpoint and Third-party application patch management.

Experience with enterprise-level documentation authoring and design.

Experience with Cloud Services Administration (Azure, AWS, etc.).

Proven understanding of microservices oriented architecture and extensible REST APIs.

Experience building the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and current systems.

Familiarity with application monitoring and performance assessments.

Experience with monitoring tools such as Aternity, MS Insight, Endpoint Analytics, or equivalents.

Advanced understanding of DevOps concepts including Azure DevOps framework and tools.

Advanced understanding of monitoring concepts and tooling.

Understanding of security protocols and products: Active Directory, Windows Authentication, SAML, OAuth.

Experience with continuous delivery and infrastructure as code.

Knowledge of developer tooling across the software development life cycle (task management, source code, building, deployment, operations, real-time communication).

Strong problem-solving ability including doing your own research utilizing available resources.

Ability to excel in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.

Experience with vendor support management (i.e. opening tickets and seeing them through to resolution).

One or more of the following certifications are desired: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ900) and/or Microsoft 365 Fundamentals (MS900).

Experience

4+ years of engineering experience on MDM platforms that support both Windows and Mac devices.

3+ years of experience with architecture and design.

3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service.

2+ years of experience in open-source frameworks.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience.
