Sr Systems Administrator, Executive Support

General Summary
The Sr Systems Administrator for Executive Support works in a fast-paced film production environment by helping LAIKA's executives and senior leadership leverage various technologies to create animated feature films. As the dedicated escalation point for executive tech support, this role requires exemplary customer support skills to resolve technology issues, recommend improvements, and enhance user experience with LAIKA's production and business systems.

Job Functions
  • Lead problem-solving efforts and provide enhanced support for on-site and remote executive team members, ensuring prioritization and resolution quality.
  • Coordinate to build effective, agile response plans in collaboration with multiple technology teams.
  • Leverage clear and direct communication to represent technology plans to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and plan all technology updates directly with executive team members s and their associated support teams to minimize disruptions and risk to ongoing work.
  • Work with technical development teams to research, test, and deploy new technologies.
  • Monitor system configurations, performance, and resource utilization to ensure devices work optimally.
  • Maintain availability and technical support coverage for executive team members, coordinating schedules with technology managers.
  • Act as a central contact for technical teams and executive stakeholders in coordinating cross-team response and leading high-priority issues to swift resolution.
  • Identify opportunities to improve services and support, solve problems, and deliver solutions quickly and effectively.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience providing executive-level technical? support.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting iOS mobile devices, as well as Mac and Windows desktops.
  • Advanced videoconferencing and AV troubleshooting experience.
  • Advanced Microsoft administration and support experience, including Active Directory and Office 365 suite.
  • Experience with automation tools such as imaging, configuration management, etc.
  • Solid understanding of the fundamentals of Unix, networking, and hardware.
  • Knowledge of industry concepts and applications.
  • Well-organized with comprehensive planning, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces (e.g., data centers and closets).
  • Calm and personable under pressure.
