What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):Utilizes AutoCAD for design of inverters, switch gear, wiring, protection, and related Solar PV componentsCreates detailed, accurate, and comprehensive technical drawings for commercial solar system projects using AutoCADWorks closely with engineers and project managers to convert design concepts into precise construction documentsPrepares engineering scope of work, RFP, cost estimates, and bid packages for C&I and utility Solar PV, Ground mount, and rooftop projects of 5MW+Reviews EPC Contracts, equipment specifications, warranties, and other technical documentation
What is Required (Qualifications):Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related fieldMUST be able to design Solar PV, construction, medium voltage, and/or electrical distribution specifications independently5+ years work experience on Ground Mount, Rooftop or Carport solar PV systemsExperience completing Solar or Storage projects of at least 5MWExperience within ISO-NE, NYISO, and/or North East AHJ's (Authority Having Jurisdictions)
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):Understanding of the EPC Design process for structural and electrical layoutsProficiency with PVsyst, AutoCAD, or Helioscope design toolsExperience with ETAP, PSSE, or related software packages for short circuit, fault current, and related electrical studies
