Title: Manager III, Time & Attendance
Under limited supervision, develops, implements, and maintains the school district's policies and procedures for time & attendance, and supplemental pay in accordance with federal, state, and local requirements.
Essential Functions:
The following duties are representative for this position. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Tasks and responsibilities will be in concurrence with implementing the strategic plan and aligned management system. Other duties may be required and assigned.
• Supervises payroll, time & attendance staff.
• Schedules dates for processing time and attendance, time adjustments and miscellaneous pay submitted through the time and attendance system.
• Develops systemwide processes for collecting time and attendance and supplemental pay within the time and attendance system. This includes monitoring accuracy for collecting attendance for exempt and non-exempt employees, full-time and part-time employees, salaried and hourly employees.
• Develops and administers training to district wide staff on time and attendance and supplemental pay within the time and attendance system.
• Supervises all time adjustments, or adjustments to supplemental pay within the guidelines set forth by the DeKalb County Board of Education.
• Generates reports for time & attendance reporting. Responds to inquiries from employees regarding the usage of leave and overall leave balances.
• Generates and maintains the vacation leave liability report for financial reporting purposes.
• Collaborates with Human Resources with transferring leave balances into, within, or out of DeKalb County Board of Education.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree from a Professional Standards Commission approved accredited college or university in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or closely related area is required. Master's degree from a Professional Standards Commission approved accredited college or university in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or closely related area is preferred.
Minimum of three (3) years supervisory level accounting, finance or closely related experience required.
