Senior Quality Assurance Analyst

Position Summary: This position is responsible for leading, developing, documenting, and delivering comprehensive testing in UAT and production environments for the bank's core systems and product projects. This position also may lead and supervise a team(s) of testers throughout each project life cycle.

Primary Duties:

  • Review new vendor releases to application software, summarize the capability provided by the release, make recommendations as to applicability to current user needs, consider current systems compatibility and recommend implementation priority. Collaborate with vendors, technical resources, Business lines and the Product Owner of the respective system to identify items in the release notes that impact Primis.
  • Develop test scenarios in Test/Production environments and execute test scripts to include, but not limited to, test tracking, troubleshooting/defects and feedback into operational procedures, ensuring regulatory requirements are met.
  • Document the results of the testing, submit to the Product Owner to review testing results and to determine if additional testing is required by an SME in that department. Provide support with test scenarios if necessary.
  • Interview subject matter experts and functional SME's for process flow content and business process content. Coordinate with different business lines/departments to produce better business outcomes.
  • Review content with subject matter experts and functional SME's for process flow content and business process content on the production environment, may include content validation/testing or coordination with other business lines to validate/test items in the Test/Production environment.
  • Draft and publish instructional materials. As applicable, update procedures to reflect the changes of the new system enhancements.
  • Collaborate with the Business lines/departments on role out and product changes to the production environment.
  • Notify partners of expected timeline and readiness to production.
  • Collaborate with other team members on special projects.
  • Maintain compliance with and adhere to all state and federal regulations and bank policies and procedures, including, but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, FACT ACT, Community Reinvestment Act, and EEO/AA/Fair Employment Practices.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.


Minimum Educational & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (preferred)
  • Must possess a good understanding of banks core systems, products and workflows
  • Minimum of five years' experience in the banking industry, with a minimum of three years in Retail, Operations or Systems strongly preferred
  • Experience in problem solving using personal computer spreadsheet software, query programs and other techniques

  • Must be able to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • High Level of detail orientation
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
  • Strong MS Excel Experience and Knowledge
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well on a team with all levels of the organization


Physical Demands:

In terms of an 8-hour workday, "occasional" equals 1% to 33%, "frequent" equals 34% to 66% and "continuous" equals 67% to 100%. However, some duties are performed monthly, annually or sporadically throughout the year and are essential functions.
