The Manager of Fixed Income / Investment Advisor is responsible for formulating fixed income investment strategy, chairing the Fixed Income Team, and managing all aspects of fixed income trading and daily implementation of investment action decisions. The implementation process may involve execution of trades, order flow management and coordination of trading activity. Experience in investments with business development skills is important while Stock Yards Bank will provide a professional environment to continually improve the candidate's skills and to further his/her career goals for advancement within the banking profession. Responsibilities

Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Manage all aspects of fixed income trading and daily implementation of investment action decisions. The implementation process may involve execution of trades, order flow management and coordination of trading activity.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with fixed income securities dealers.
  • Fixed income relative value analysis and research.
  • Assist in developing investment policies and guidelines with respect to diversification, portfolio management, and cash flow requirements.
  • Awareness and monitoring of developments in the market and investment industry.
  • Consult with clients, external advisors, and portfolio managers to develop investment objectives, implement an investment strategy and maintain an Investment Policy Statement.
  • Construct and execute a diversified investment portfolio which includes multiple asset classes based on the Investment Policy Statement and Stock Yards Bank's investment strategy.
  • Monitor and implement recommended portfolio changes, and conduct periodic investment meetings with clients.
  • Proactive communication with clients on investment related topics.
  • Source new sales, acquire additional assets from existing clients, and obtain referrals.
  • Responsible for business development duties both internally and externally.


Job Requirements

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • BS/BA in business finance or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in investments
  • Bloomberg experience
  • Possess exceptional interpersonal skills and high level of integrity
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of investment principals
  • Comfortable with public speaking
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Broad knowledge of the equity and fixed income markets
  • CFP or CFA designation preferred
