SynQor is looking for an electrical engineer that is interested the field of power electronics. A familiarity with power electronics is desired, but an engineer with a strong background in analog circuits and a desire to learn will be considered. The job can include:Providing technical support to Quality and Reliability team.Writing or assisting with writing technical documents, including application notes, training materials, technical marketing materials, and product datasheets.Performing lab testing in support of customer inquiries and technical documentation.Design and validate evaluation boards and other test hardware.Responsibilities:Analyze power conversion technological problems and help customer select the appropriate power conversion solution for their specific requirements.Advise customers on the operation of SynQor’s power conversion solutions. Review customer's applications for validity and communicate findings to customer.Prepare technical responses to customers questions. Provide the necessary background to help customers understand how SynQor products can be used to solve their power conversion requirements efficiently and reliably.Troubleshoot system applications under the direction of a FAE. Follow the guidelines and test procedures outlined by the FAE in charge of the case. Aid in the documenting the results obtained from testing.Help FAE perform tests on the products to establish compliance to industry standards.Help FAE prepare test reports to document product compliance to the different industry requirements.Participating in different seminars, conferences, and meetings for promoting the devised application engineering products, evaluating the performance and credibility of systems application.Education and Experience:BS or MS in Electrical Engineering.Minimum of one year of experience working with analog circuits.Product design experience in power conversion and electronics system design desiredRequired Skills:Understand analog and power electronics.Understand DC/DC, AC/DC, and DC/AC power converters.Understand mechanical and thermal performance parameters.Ability to evaluate power circuit designs and apply analytical problem solving skills.Ability to operate various types of lab equipment including oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic loads, multimeters, and soldering equipment.Ability to use MS Office applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Ability to use schematic capture and PCB layout software a plus.Ability to use simulation and analysis tools such as MathCad, Spice, Microcap, or Simplis a plus.Qualities and Characteristics:Good communication skills, both verbal and written.Good social skills, works well in a team environment.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
