Position Overview:

Analog Devices is seeking a Senior Engineer, Product Applications, whose primary focus is providing innovative reference designs for the fast-growing electric vehicle and energy markets. This market needs high voltage-high power converters using LLC, phase shift full bridge, and totem pole PFC topologies. Innovation in topologies and techniques is encouraged. The group is designing cutting-edge GaN and SiC power switch solutions to power these converters. The team consists of talented applications engineers with advanced degrees and published papers in power electronics.

Responsibilities will include:

Working on application circuits of high voltage, high power convertersDeveloping demo boards for power productsPerforming thorough new product evaluationsDeveloping design/simulation tools/circuitsTechnical writing, presentations, and trainingsRequired Skills:

The ideal candidate will have the following requirements:

MSEE or PHD5+ year experience with power converter (switching power supplies) designsStrong background in analog circuits, power electronics, and power systems.Interest in DC/DC and AC/DC power conversion and knowledge of power conversion topologies.Strong background in digital controller coding for power converters.Strong analytic skills along with power system modeling and control loop design.Familiar with circuit design/simulation tools and lab equipment.Good technical writing and presentation skillsMust possess good communication skills and have the ability to work as a part of a multidisciplinary team.For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. Job Req Type: ExperiencedRequired Travel: NoShift Type: 1st Shift/DaysThe wage range for a new hire into this position is $116,610 to $165,945.Actual wage offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, training, external market data, internal equity, or other bona fide factors.

This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors.
