To get where we're going, we need big thinkers, problem solvers, and collaborative mindsets.The Opportunity with McKinstryWe are currently seeking a Building Performance Standards Senior Consultant to join McKinstry as a member of our growing Mountain Technical Services team. In this role, you will be a front-line project lead on high-impact energy and facility optimization consulting projects, owning delivery and client relationships to deliver outcome-oriented solutions. Communication and collaboration are key aspects of this role, requiring you to partner with other McKinstry teams to deliver effective results while managing client expectations. You will be responsible for making technical recommendations, building actionable reports, and presenting them to clients. If you are passionate about driving sustainability in the built environment and have the required qualifications, we are excited to hear from you.What You Need to Succeed:Education: BA/BS degree in Engineering, Architecture, Facilities Management, Environmental Science, or equivalent field of study. A master’s degree or higher is a bonus.Demonstrated proficiency as an energy engineer: CEM, PE, or BEAP preferred.Seven years of experience in energy efficiency with a minimum of 3 years of relevant building energy analysis experience.3+ years of experience with project management and client consulting, including sustainability planning and capital planning.Strong written and verbal communications experience.Exceptional project management skills.Passion for sustainability and energy conservation in the built environment.Working knowledge of mechanical and control systems such as Siemens, JCI, ATS, and others.Energy Management and Sustainability Professional designations are a plus.Working knowledge of issue management systems such as BIM360 and CxAlloy preferred.Proven understanding of building energy and mechanical systems.Advanced proficiency with MS Suite skills including Project, Excel, and Word.When it comes to the basics, we offer competitive pay, 401(k) with employer match and profit sharing plan, paid time off and holidays, comprehensive medical, prescription, dental, and vision benefits, and more. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
