Koniag Government Services is seeking the highest quality candidates for the United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) in support of the direct care and supervision (DCS) and facilities maintenance (FM) services at the 800-bed influx care facility (ICF) in Greensboro, North Carolina. The Koniag Team will provide direct care to unaccompanied children ages 13-17 years), ensuring all personnel, services, and resources necessary to provide for the care and supervision of unaccompanied children housed at the ICF as specified by HHS ORR and ensuring required corresponding regulatory and statutory guidance are met.
The IT Systems Administrator will be responsible for the configuration, implementation, and maintenance of various technologies managed at the ICF. This person will focus on the administration of desktop PC's, servers, network equipment, and software applications. The Systems Administrator will assess and identify appropriate solutions to be integrated into operation and make recommendations for implementation. This individual will be required to coordinate across multiple departments (i.e... facilities are 15 dormitories, several administration buildings, warehouses, two two-story classroom buildings, gymnasium, medical clinic, and dining facility in support of care for HHS ORR).
Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to: Hardware Support - Approximately 300 computer terminals. Perform on-site and remote technical support by diagnosing hardware and software problems and replacing defective components. Assists in the designing, planning, documenting, and implementing various systems to include desktop pcs, servers, network equipment, SANs, operating systems and software applications. After hours support on a rotational basis Maintains and monitors procedures for all server backups. Maintains, and monitors procedures for all antivirus systems. Assist in monitoring, planning, and coordinating the distribution of software and service packs. Assist in monitoring, planning, and coordinating network security measures in order to protect data, software, and hardware. Analyze equipment performance records in order to determine the need for repair or replacement. Makes recommendations for new equipment and services to purchase and works with various vendors for procurement. Assist in the organization and inventory of all hardware and software resources. Monitors and maintains the use of photocopiers and printers. Create and maintain good technical documentation. Maintain an inventory of parts for repairs. Recommend changes to improve systems and network configurations and determine hardware or software requirements related to such changes. Train people in computer system use. Assist in management of corporate cell phone accounts and devices, as required. Perform other duties as assigned. Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Requires a bachelor's degree and minimum of one-year related experience or minimum of three years' experience and training in related field(s). Utilize complex computer operations (relational databases, server virtualization, network fundamentals and operating systems) and advanced features of software packages (word-processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.) Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public. Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiply projects simultaneously. Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources. The energy, enthusiasm and drive to make it happen. A team player who can motivate others, making it fun while getting the job done. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.
The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
