Spanish Adjunct

The Spanish adjunct instructor provides quality learning opportunities that assist students in meeting their educational goals and career aspirations in the Arts and Sciences program.Responsibilities:Exhibit an uncompromising commitment to South Piedmont Community College as a learning-centered college through the College’s mission, vision, values, core skills and learning outcomes, and delivery of instruction and servicesDevelop learning strategies and curriculum that will promote successful teaching and learning in a learning-centered environmentFacilitate learning through various methodsParticipate in continuous improvement planning through assessment of learning outcomesSelect and use appropriate learning materials and resourcesStay current with technology and learning theoryDemonstrate professionalism in planning and implementationEngage in professional developmentMaintain required credentialsProvide accessibility to students and colleaguesMaintain and submit class records and reports on timeAccept teaching assignments at different locations and timesPerform other duties as assignedRequired Qualifications:A Master’s degree in the teaching area OR a completed Master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in the teaching disciplinePreferred Qualifications:Community college teaching experienceOnline teaching experienceExperience with Moodle
