About the Role Responsible for the support and the timely process through which end user issues and/or system problems are controlled. Maintains, analyses, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals. Documents, maintains, upgrades or replaces hardware and software systems. Administer and/or maintain specified systems. Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security and systems groups. Provides support in the administration and implementation of corporate-wide information security services. Installs, test, configures and maintains information security programs. Provides technical guidance and queuing analysis.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Maintains security by monitoring and ensuring compliance to standards, policies, and procedures; assisting conducting incident response analyses; developing and conducting training programsUpdates job knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging security practices and standards; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizationsAssist in the administration of the Information Security Management System (ISMS)Assist in responses to external audits, penetration tests and vulnerability assessmentsAssist in the creation and implementation of corrective action plansSupervise the risk assessments and penetration testsAssist in the completion of gap analysis activitiesPerform Information Security administration duties as assignedCreate and maintain proper system and process documentationPerform security related tasks for the Information Security and related systemsAssist in the evaluation of new systems and programsProvide recommendations to management in the generation of business cases and justificationsSupervise Information Security Administrators in installation and configuration of Information Security equipmentEscalation support for Information Security staffMentoring of Information Security staffPerform Incident Commander functions as neededMake recommendations to the Information Security Manager and Director as requiredSupervise tasks and responsibilities assigned to Information Security staffAssist in the planning of system upgrades and interdepartmental coordinationAssist Information Security staff with support issuesFacilitation of interdepartmental system implementationsRepresent Information Technology in departmental meetingsProvide input/expertise for designated committees or teamsDevelop/identify improvements to existing systems to enhance security protectionParticipate in the departmental planning and budgeting processesManage Technical related projects and tasksProvide system reports to managementProvide planning reports for areas of responsibilityProvide incident/downtime reportingSkills and Qualifications

Five years previous work experience of installation, configuration, troubleshooting, repair, supporting, administering, design and planning of the Information Security hardware and software in an enterprise networked environment.Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, or equivalent degree is preferred.Advanced Training Courses or and Advanced Information Security certification such as ISACA, SANS, Cisco or ISC2.Proficient knowledge of 50% of all Information Security systems, demonstrate coaching skills to Information Security staff and has acted as Project Manager on a successful major Technology Initiative in past 12 months.Competitive Benefits Package
