As a Ground Software Engineer, you will work directly with the Turion team in the planning, development, and implementation of Turion Space ground systems. You will design the software systems that enable operators to carry out missions in the most reliable manner. Your experience, creativity, and ambition will directly impact the way Turion Space operates as it continues to grow in scale and complexity.Key Responsibilities
Own all aspects of the software engineering and product developmentActively interface with users to learn their problems and create efficient solutionsBring your voice to the table in team collaborations on architecture, design, and code reviewsCreate new applications that improve how Turion Space operatesWork closely with subsystem teams and external customers to continually improve software tools and data productsDesign, develop, integrate, test, and deliver large-scale ground software and mission control systems, including operator GUI’s and automation toolsMinimum Qualifications
BS in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field2-5 years of software development experienceExperience in full-stack developmentDemonstrated ability to personally design, build, and test software from scratchMust be able to work extended hours and weekends as neededMust be able to obtain a Secret and/or a TS/SCI clearance.Preferred Skills and Experience
Programming experience in Go, Python, or JavascriptExperience with React or similar frameworksExperience designing and building microservices and distributed systemsExperience with KubernetesExperience with AWS (EC2, S3, Batch, Lambda)Experience with Jira or other defect-tracking softwareExperience building complex systems that have been successfully delivered to customersExperience with data engineering and managing large-scale data pipelines
