Our navigators evaluate their level of exposure to the possibility of financial toxicity which can hinder patient’s treatment. This personalized approach to providing patients with knowledge and hopefully financial savings will add a level of comfort and improved health outcomes to an otherwise challenging moment.

CAREXST aligned ourselves with PATHS, a strong financial advocacy organization with the experience, resources and disciplines necessary to assure a successful program.

PATHS, LLC offer a broad range of account receivable management, patient advocacy, and consultation services to assist the needs of our healthcare clients. Our 4 offices in PA, NJ, and DE is home to 400 employees and that serve over 100 clients. Healthcare providers we service include: hospitals, physician groups, rehabilitation facilities, skilled nursing, clinics, emergency departments, medical transport, home health, and behavioral health.

CAREXST, in partnership with PATHS, LLC, is currently seeking an Oncology Financial Navigator to work on behalf of our client facility(ies) in Allentown, PA.

Duties Include:

Assist cancer patients in applying for pharmaceutical and medical assistance

Counsel patients in navigating through medical bills, insurance benefits, and financial resources available.

Determining the best sources of payment for services provided to patients

Working with patients, physicians, nursing staff, pharmaceutical and insurance companies

Travel to other client facilities as needed

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Train Monday-Friday 8:00 am-4:30 pm for 3-4 weeks. Mileage will be reimbursed for travel.

Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle and car insurance

Experience working in healthcare facility, insurance billing, Medicaid eligibility, or social work preferred.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both written and verbal

Trustworthy, detail and goal oriented, organized

Comfortability working in a hospital environment

Working knowledge of Microsoft applications: Outlook, Word, and Excel

Physical Exam, PPD screening, and immunization records are also required. Minimum high school diploma or GED is also required.

Work schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
