Radiologic Tech FT

Nashville General Hospital is hiring a Radiology Technologist for Medical Imaging as a full-time technologist.The Radiologic Technologist operates routine radiography equipment, fluoroscopy, portable x-ray machines, and operating room imaging equipment. Performs patient care services relevant to imaging procedures to include IV access starts and injection of contrast. This position requires interaction with radiologists and referring physicians. The Radiologic Technologist performs job duties with independence and in accordance with established departmental and hospital policies and procedures.As a Rad Tech, you will:Administers contrast media orally, rectally, or intravenously as required.Screens patients, escorts, and hospital personnel for entrance into the magnet room.Ensures the patient is prepped (history form, medications, etc.) prior to the procedure.Properly processes films and evaluates for quality and completeness.Provides care based upon age-specific needs utilizing a developmental perspective.Performs tracers and observations of clinical practices to assess.Required Skills & Qualifications:Graduate of a two-year accredited radiography program (JCERT accredited preferred)Active certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or registry eligible and obtain certification within the probationary hiring/employment periodBLS Required within 6 months of hire.About Nashville General HospitalNashville General Hospital (NGH) is Nashville’s original community-based hospital.
