Nashville General Hospital is hiring a

Radiology Technologist

for Medical Imaging as a PRN

technologist.The Radiologic Technologist operates routine radiography equipment, fluoroscopy, portable x-ray machines, and operating room imaging equipment. Performs patient care services relevant to imaging procedures to include IV access starts and injection of contrast. This position requires interaction with radiologists and referring physicians. The Radiologic Technologist performs job duties with independence and in accordance with established departmental and hospital policies and procedures.As a

Rad Tech , you will:

Administer contrast media orally, rectally, or intravenously as required.Screen patients, escorts, and hospital personnel for entrance into the magnet room.Ensure patient is prepped (hx form, medications, etc.) prior to procedure.Properly process films and evaluate for quality and completeness.Provide care based upon age-specific needs utilizing a developmental perspective.Perform tracers and observations of clinical practices to assess.Required Skills & Qualifications:Graduate of a two-year accredited radiography program (JCERT accredited preferred).Active certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or registry eligible and obtain certification with the probationary hiring/employment period.BLS Required.About Nashville General Hospital:Nashville General Hospital (NGH) is Nashville’s original community-based hospital.
