IDN Company: IDN-AcmeTitle/Position: Outside SalesType of Position: Full-TimeIDN is a leading distributor of security hardware, access control systems, video surveillance equipment, doors & frames, locksmithing tools, and related security products.Job Description:Based in Denver, Colorado, the individual in this position is directly responsible for the development and performance of all outside sales activities pertaining to locksmith dealers and select commercial accounts in Colorado (Denver, Colorado Springs, Aurora, Fort Collins, Lakewood). The individual is responsible for achieving maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and values. This includes establishing plans and strategies to expand the customer base in the designated geographic area and to expand the volume of our commercial door operation.Responsibilities include the following:Develops a business plan and sales strategy that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitabilityDirectly responsible for all sales activities pertaining to locksmiths and related new account development in Colorado (as an assigned Territory)Provides timely feedback to senior management regarding sales performanceEnsures accurate records/reporting related to call scheduling, activity reporting, and contact management as related to the use of the company’s CRM softwareControls expenses to meet budget guidelinesAdheres to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the teamKey working relationships:Demonstrates an ability to interact and cooperate with all company employeesWorks closely and cooperatively with Inside Sales, Marketing, Operations, and AccountingDemonstrates excellence in areas of personal character, commitment, organizational and selling skills, and work habitsMeets or exceeds all activity standards for prospecting calls, appointments, presentations, proposals and closesMaintains contact with all employees at the IDN-Denver branchRequirements:3-10 years sales experience in a distribution environmentStrong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirementsStrong product knowledge in the areas of mechanical door hardware, electronic access control systems, and/or doors and framesWillingness to travel and work throughout ColoradoStrong organizational skills with an ability to multi-taskCross-functional team player
