We are an equal opportunity employer making decisions without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, veteran status, disability, or any other protected class.Responsibilities:Design, develop, and implement software solutions to support the CDC's DHAP IT projects, focusing on public health initiatives.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and interpret user/system requirements into design specifications.Conduct software testing and validation procedures, and refine systems as necessary based on feedback and performance.Document all system development processes and ensure continuous improvement and maintenance of software.Support the integration of new applications with existing systems and software.Minimum Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field.Minimum of 3 years of professional software development experience.Proficiency in multiple programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.Experience with modern frameworks and environments like .NET, Spring, Angular, or React.Demonstrated understanding of relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL) and noSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).Preferred:Experience in developing software for healthcare or public health related fields.Knowledge of federal IT security and privacy regulations.Experience in Agile development environments and understanding of DevOps principles.Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP).Any relevant framework or technology certifications (e.g., Oracle Java Certifications, Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate).Location:This opportunity is remote
