Staff Perfusionist

Description:The Perfusionist provides clinical services that support, treat, measure or supplement the cardiopulmonary and circulatory system of the patient. Cases include CABG, valves, TAVR, cell savers, and occasional ECMO. The Perfusionist may also be asked to evaluate new products or techniques dealing with perfusion services. The Perfusionist acts as a liaison, in dealing with the surgeon, hospital and patient. The Perfusionist maintains credentials as described by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion and Georgia Medical Board. The Perfusionist will ensure the development and maintenance of policies, procedures, techniques, protocols, competency, staff development and quality monitoring for perfusion services at SGMC. Salary commensurate with experience.
