Responsibilities

Works with IT business Analysts and the application manager to understand business processes and associated requirements and translate into technical requirements and solutions.Questions existing processes and procedures (both administrative and technical), and offers suggestions and opinions for continuous improvement.Works with business and systems analysts to develop, test, and implement solutionsParticipates in development projects by collaborating with the IT team members to drive process improvements.Has the ability and initiative to work independently and accepts accountability for project results.Participates in design walkthroughs and offers constructive feedback to improve the quality of the software product.Consistently demonstrates sound software development practices, following the System Development Life Cycle methodology to produce efficient, maintainable, value-adding application products.Abides by the prescribed standards and procedures designed to guarantee compliance with key control objectives like JSOX.Communicates technical ideas and concepts in non-technical language to the business.Develops test scripts/plans in collaboration with Business Analysts.Performs peer code reviews in support of members of the development team.Adheres to coding guideline and standards on all work products.Ability to build and maintain new integrations across applications as required (APIs and web services experience is a must)Takes directions from and works with senior members of the development and IT team on projects and tasks.Qualifications

4-year college/university degree in either information technology, computer science, software engineering, or business management.Minimum 5 years' software application development experience in related field.Strong knowledge of foundational software programming languages (PL/SQL, SQL, Java, JavaScript, Perl, Groovy, PHP, Python)Experience with multiple development languages, and development on client-server, cloud-based or mobile platforms.Familiar with standard SQL back-up and restore processesFamiliarity with the following applications; Microsoft Great Plains ERP, WennSoft, Kyriba and UltiPro.Proficiency in relevant technologies and toolsets.Proven experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products.Extensive experience with core software applications, including ERP, CRM, SharePoint, Data Management and Business Intelligence.Keen ability to translate a functional requirement into a technical requirement and ultimately into a technology solution.Personal Attributes
