Job Overview: We are currently looking for a high performing Accounting Manager to join our Corporate Accounting Team located in Radnor, PA. This position will report to the Corporate Assistant Controller and will perform a wide variety of accounting duties such as the creation of journal entries, preparation of support schedules and account reconciliations for balance sheet assets and liabilities. Responsibilities also include performing assisting in process improvements, process documentation, and ad hoc projects.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee team of senior and staff accountants including review of their journal entries, account reconciliations along with mentoring and training.
  • Participate, as a major contributor, in the completion of month-end and year end closing and financial reporting processes in a timely fashion to meet assigned deadlines.
  • Lead monthly P&L review meetings where necessary
  • Analysis of general ledger account balances, including making recommendations for adjustments.
  • Develop process narratives and/or training materials while identifying opportunities for process and efficiency improvements to create efficiencies and reduce time frames for deliverables in the financial close and reporting processes.
  • Manage requests related to tax filings, audit, compliance, ad-hoc reporting, special project analyses and administrative needs as assigned.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of internal controls.
  • Manage periodic audits by internal and external organizations.

Qualifications

  • A. or B.S. in accounting, finance or associated discipline.
  • CPA or CPA track highly desired.
  • 6-8 years of financial business experience, with a mix of public accounting and private industry experience.
  • Manufacturing experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated to be a critical thinker and have strategic and analytical acumen in previous positions.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with SAP systems is highly desired. Experience with Hyperion tools is a plus.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
