is an innovative home management and maintenance company, and we're seeking a skilled full-time Lead Services Carpenter/Technician to join us!
Our one-of-a-kind service takes the hassle out of homeownership. We coordinate preventive maintenance, handle repairs, and assist owners in making improvements to their homes. Birdwatch builds on the 13-year track record of the well-known and loved property management company

Birdwatch is ideal for a candidate looking to be part of a team, have a predictable schedule, and earn fair, consistent pay. So often, we hear about technicians and contractors who have unpredictable schedules and are underappreciated for their skill set. We want to change that narrative and provide consistent, well-paying jobs where employees feel valued and enjoy working with their teammates!
Salary:
$33 - $38 per hour, with signing incentives (cash, vehicle access, or others)
Potential for annual profit share + performance incentives
Requirements:
10+ years of professional handyman, carpentry, or residential remodeling experience, including 2+ years of experience engaging directly with homeowners/customers
High-level skill set in finished carpentry
Possesses highly proficient capability in other generalist trades (light plumbing, electrical, painting/patching)
Exhibits strong attention to detail
Ability to project, plan, and prioritize
Ability to delight clients and execute tasks efficiently
Comfortable with a pre-employment background check
Must reside within a 30-minute commute of Downtown Washington, DC
Own work truck or van needed for the position
Own standard set of hand & power tools
Comfortable fluently communicating in English with homeowners
Comfortable utilizing a smartphone app to manage jobs and a scope of work
