Marin Community Clinics, founded in 1972, is today, a multi-clinic network with a wide array of integrated primary care, dental, behavioral, specialty and referral services. As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), we provide vital health services to almost 40,000 individuals annually in Marin County. The Clinics regularly receive national awards from the Health Resources and Services Administrations (HRSA). Our Mission is to promote health and wellness through excellent, compassionate care for all.The Adult Medicine NP/AGNP is responsible for providing medical diagnosis, treatment services and managing quality health care services to patients of Marin Community Clinics. The NP provides quality care to patients consistent with his/her training and expertise, and appropriate to the ambulatory care setting provided. NP performs as a primary care provider (PCP) with a patient panel.3+ Years of hands on primary care clinical experience is required (experience excludes clinical rotations/clerkships) will consider candidates who have completed a residency hands-on training program of 12 or more months duration.$50k Signing bonus available for select applicants (specific program terms apply)$135k-$160k/yr. salary rangeRelocation assistance available
Responsibilities:Sees patients ages 18-100+Provides and manages direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnosis, and treatment for a specified patient population.Prescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions.Refers patients to specialists and to relevant patient care components as appropriate.Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives.Maintains a professional relationship with staff and patients.Performs other related and/or necessary tasks to achieve clinic goals and objectives, as directed by the Medical Director.Care team responsibilities as outlined in the Care Team Patient Center Medical Home Procedures.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Education and Experience:Adult Medicine NP/AGNP with 3+ years of experience is required.Valid and unrestricted license issued by the Medical Board of California to practice medicine.Board certified or Board Eligible in specified area of medical specialty.Current registration issued by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) allowing the prescription of drugs.Prior work experience in outpatient health care setting - Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) desired.EPIC Electronic Health Records (EHR) experiences a plus.Must maintain Continued Medical Education (CME) as required for certification renewals.
Required Skills and Abilities:Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.Ability to see an average of 20 patients per day for Full Time shift.Ability to see patient population ages 18-100+Must be CPR Certified.Ability to observe, to assess, and to record symptoms, reactions, and progress.Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care.Knowledge of relevant drugs and non-pharmaceutical patient care aids and ability to prescribe dosages and instruct patients in correct usage.Knowledge of community medical diagnostic and patient care services in area of medical expertise.Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.Knowledge of current principles, methods, and procedures for the delivery of medical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment in area of expertise.Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:Prolonged standing, walking, and prolonged periods sitting at desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift to 25 pounds at times and move medical equipment.Fine motor hand movements typical of performing standard job duties.Able to read charts graphs and readings on medical equipment.Covid-19 Vaccination and Boosters Requirements:All employees are required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, including "health-care" required boosters as a condition of employment, subject to limited exemptions. New employees are required to provide proof of being fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and boosted before the first day of employment.
