PERFUSIONIST

We are seeking a PERFUSIONIST in Wausau, WI at Aspirus Wausau Hospital who is a medical professional responsible for the operation of the heart/lung machine and any extracorporeal support of the patient undergoing heart surgery or any cardiopulmonary emergency requiring such support. Associated clinical activities for CV surgery team include hemodynamic monitoring, auto-transfusion, heart assist devices, ECLS, ECMO, and intra-aortic balloon pump.EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONSKnowledge of perfusion standards and practices normally acquired through graduation from an accredited course in perfusion. A bachelor’s degree in an allied health related field beneficial.ACLS certification beneficial.LICENSURECurrent or eligible for licensure by the State of Wisconsin as a Perfusionist.Certification by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion required, or board eligible, within one year of hire.Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.Hours:

1.0 full-time, 80 hours every 2 weeks. Weekend rotation: every 4th. Holiday rotation: every 4th.
