SPECIALTY CLINIC ACCESS LEAD

to join our team!The Specialty Clinic Access Lead ensures positive patient experience by supervising all scheduling activities and training of staff for consistency and accuracy within specialty clinic(s). Alongside Specialty scheduling staff interacts, schedules, and directs patients in a professional manner. Assures that all Specialty scheduling staff schedule patient appointments according to established protocols, instructing patients in all established parameters of testing and the visit process.HOURS:

Full time or 1.0 FTE, 80 Hours per two weeks pay period. Day shift.Experience/QualificationsKnowledge of office standards and procedures normally acquired through an Associate’s Degree (Bachelors preferred) or combination of education and experience preferred.Three years of scheduling experience in a large, multi-site medical office desired.Prior leadership and/or mentoring experience preferred.Strong customer service skills to enhance and maintain the patient experience.Knowledge of medical terminology desirable.Computer experience and basic computer keyboarding skills required with advanced knowledge of Excel and Word computer systems.Knowledge of insurance requirements, copays, deductibles, etc. Knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation to type patient information.Ability to file and maintain patient records, files, and other correspondence.Ability to schedule for multiple physicians meeting specified requirements per practitioner.Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with patients, employees, and the public.Skill in greeting patients and answering the telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner.Employee BenefitsFull benefits packages available for part- and full-time status.PTO accrual from day one!Generous retirement plan with match available.Wellness program for employees and their families.Aspirus Wausau Hospital
