Job Description:We are seeking a skilled and motivated SQL Database Developer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of database development, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for optimizing database performance and ensuring data integrity. As a SQL Database Developer, you will work closely with our development and operations teams to design, implement, and maintain robust database systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL databases and queries.
Design and implement database schemas, tables, and stored procedures.
Ensure data integrity and implement data security measures.
Optimize database performance through indexing, query optimization, and other techniques.
Collaborate with development teams to integrate database solutions with applications.
Conduct thorough testing and debugging of database systems to ensure optimal performance.
Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in database development.
Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge with the team.
Qualifications:
Good experience as a SQL Database Developer or similar role.
Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle).
Strong understanding of database design principles and normalization.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Knowledge of database performance optimization techniques.
Familiarity with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Good communication skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) is a plus.
Familiarity with cloud-based database services (e.g., Amazon RDS, Google Cloud SQL, Azure SQL Database).
Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and tools (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift).
Understanding of data security best practices.
Experience with database migration and backup/recovery processes.
