As a Truck Loader at Steel Technologies, your day-to-day responsibilities will include safely and accurately loading outgoing trucks and unloading incoming loads using a forklift or crane. We can guarantee your role will require multitasking, organization and time-management skills. You'll be responsible for helping Steel Technologies succeed by preparing items for shipment to our customers and ensuring their expectations are met. Essentially, you play a big part in getting the finished material into the right hands at the right time.

How you'll contribute to our company:

Select material for shipment from shipping/receiving documentationOperate forklift and/or overhead crane to transport materials to and from storage areas and work stationsLoad, unload and stack materials in accordance with established proceduresMaintain up-to-date forklift certification and/or crane trainingPull and compare inventory tags and ensure accuracy of loadAbility to routinely climb stairs, ladders, or platformsAbility to routinely bend and squatAbility to walk and stand for prolonged periods of timeAbility to repetitively graspAbility to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 poundsMonitor loading process and ensure proper signing of shipping paperworkCommunicate non-compliance problems to supervisor and/or shift leadHousekeeping and cleaning of truck docks and storage areaRetain loading requirements and schedule flow of carriers in and out of loading areaHere's what we can offer:
