Job Description Summary:

This position is responsible for ensuring effective and profitable production operations, as well as maintaining effective relationships with representatives from the Government and other commercial customers.

Essential Functions:Establishes Operations processes, procedures, and controls within assigned facility to achieve company's objectives.Develop, maintain and report as required to government agencies.Oversee bids and proposals for new business opportunities with Federal, State or local government, and commercial customers.Facilitate communication between U.S. Government customers and internal departments.Ensure contract modifications are implemented and documented.Provide forecasting data and revenue productions.Work independently, efficiently manages time, and uses experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.Responsible to oversee one of the following organization-wide areas, as directed: Engineering, Quality Control & Compliance, Maintenance or Safety.Provide leadership, supervision, and development opportunities to direct reports.Implements continuous improvement programs based upon Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.Ensure all work in process (WIP) is properly identified.Ensure compliance with work instructions and/or Quality Management System (QMS) procedures.Adheres to all current organizational policies.Ensures effective staffing, wage, and performance decisions.Ensure effective employee relations.Maintain highest levels of ethics and confidentiality.Employ effective and respectful spoken and written communication skills.Maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others including wearing mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).Functions effectively in a fast paced, diverse, team environment.Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:Associates degree in business or related subjects, or equivalent experience.Five or more years related experience.Ability to operate basic computer equipment and peripherals as well as company standard software.Able to effectively perform all basic mathematical functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages).Ability to effectively read and interpret industry specific documentation.Satisfactory completion of a criminal background check.Satisfactory completion of a Motor Vehicle Record Check.Verified eligibility for employment in the United States.

Environment and Physical Demands:A traditional work week (M-F) with MDI core hours. Work during Non-traditional hours periodically required.Basic vision is required.Continuously works in a typical factory environment (high noise levels, machinery, conveyors, dust, chemicals, and temperature fluctuations).Occasionally works in a typical office setting which includes:Continuously sit, use of computer monitor, mouse, and keyboard, standard telephone, hearing and talking.Occasionally lift, reach, rotate hands, stoop, kneel, or crouch.

Other:Some travel within the state, limited outside of state.
