Responsibilities

The Staff Accountant (SA) provides accounting support to multiple business units and is a member of our finance team based in Concord, MA. This role involves finding innovative ways to improve efficiency, performing reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, reviewing P&L, explaining trends and variances, making accrual entries as necessary, and having full responsibility for balance sheet and P&L for multiple business units.Additional Responsibilities:Assist with administrative tasks as neededPublish weekly reports for orders and revenuePrepare journal entries and reconciliationsAnswers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting dataFamiliarity with cost accounting and intercompany transfer pricing mechanismUpdate fixed asset registerReconcile bank accountsAssist with managing the expense reimbursement process using ConcurAssist in preparation for interim and year-end auditsAdhere to strict deadlinesOther duties as requiredEstablish and exploit good, mutually beneficial customer relationshipsPlace customer satisfaction as the highest priorityOperate effectively within ambiguous and sensitive contextsQualifications

The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, be detail-oriented, and have the ability to prioritize. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance and 3+ years of related experience or a combination of education and experience is required. Project management experience is preferred.
