The Credentialing Specialist will be responsible for auditing, data entry performed by clerical staff in Cactus Database, processing initial and reappointment applications in a timely manner, communicating with applicants to keep them informed of their application status, following up on missing items, running verifications, managing the Cactus database for updating physician profiles and privileges, preparing completed packets for review, and assisting practitioners with inquiries.Additional Responsibilities:- Utilize resources to make sound decisions- Assume responsibility for and solve problems- Work with others towards shared goals- Bring credentialing issues to management's attention- Foster change initiatives for performance improvement- Participate in surveys and audits- Provide support services and act as backup when necessary- Participate in education programs and keep abreast of industry standardsRequirements:- 5 years of Credentialing experience in a hospital setting- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel- Ability to prioritize and possess good listening, written, and oral skills- Excellent customer service, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills- Well versed in the use of the Cactus Database- CPCS (Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist) preferred- Knowledge of Cactus a plus- Knowledge or experience with credentialing processes desirableSalary Range:
USD $27.00 - USD $30.00 per hour. Actual pay will depend on candidate qualifications, skills, and experience, and may include bonuses or other forms of compensation.
