Staff Accountant

Job DescriptionAbout The Role:The primary role of this Staff Accountant is to assist with month-end financial preparation, daily reconciliations, assist during SOX 404, Annual and Regulatory audits, and collaborate with other departments on ad hoc projects. The Staff Accountant will report directly to the Assistant Controller to maximize development, learning, and departmental efficiency.What You'll DoComplete monthly profit/loss on specific business unitsComplete balance sheet reconciliationsAssist in preparing daily monthly regulatory requirementsReconcile investment securitiesAssist with preparing and gathering data during auditsAssist in the new general ledger implementationPrepare revenue and expense analysis, bill backs, and expense accrualOther general accounting tasksYou Should Have Experience With Microsoft Dynamics.OOJ-1311QualificationsWhat We're Looking For:Bachelor's degree in Accounting1 - 3 years accounting experienceStrong analytical abilities, initiative, and problem-solving skillsProficient in using Microsoft OfficePrevious experience collaborating with management and reporting financial resultsPromotes company Core ValuesPreferred Qualifications We're Looking ForProficiency in MS Dynamics 365, experience in using queries, Power BI, Essbase, Hyperion, Oracle, GMI or similar systems.Experience in futures or the financial services industryExperience in a collaborative, culturally diverse, and inclusive environmentWhy is This a Great OpportunityWell established Chicago based FCM.
