Staff Accountant - Fort LauderdaleSAFEbuilt is currently looking for a
Staff Accountant
to support the overall goals and objectives of the Accounting department. The candidate should have accounts payable and accounts receivable experience, as well as overall accounting knowledge. You will be part of a highly professional accounting team in our Fort Lauderdale Office.Responsibilities
Receives, verifies, and processes invoices daily via Beanworks AP Automation (150 invoices/week)Receives, researches, and responds to payment inquiries and other requests from vendors via OutlookAssists with Administration of Company Credit Card ProgramProcess Sage Intact manual checks and mailsProcess payments weekly via Beanworks AP Automation/NvoicepayProvides weekly listing of payments to Accounting ManagerEnters new vendors in Sage Intact and maintains vendor accountsProcesses and posts manual checks for all ACH transactions in Sage IntactPosting of expense accrual entries during month endADHOC Projects as neededAssists with 1099 preparation at year-endProvides A/P backup as requested during auditEnsure record of updated COIs for subconsultantsWork with project managers in subconsultant invoice entryContract set up and Client InvoicingCustomer CollectionsKnowledge & Skills
Excellent customer service and communication skillsExperience with standard Microsoft programs – Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint – and ability to learn new software products and tools (high proficiency in Excel a plus)Prior experience Sage Intacct and Beanworks A/P Automation a plusExcellent time management skillsMust be flexible and very open to changeAttention to detail and proactive positive attitudeExperience with FAR Audit & government compliance a plusProfessional services industry based A/P & A/R experience a plusEducation & Experience
4 year Accounting degree preferred, applicable education and strong AR & AP background would be considered1-2 years of related accounts payable & accounts receivable experienceCOMPENSATION:
