Remote, USAzyBooks is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated sales leader to add to its talented team of professionals. The Strategic Accounts Manager interacts with Chairs, Faculty, Educational Technologists, and other key players within Higher Education institutions.The Strategic Accounts Manager’s primary focus is to drive course, departmental, and divisional sales, sell-through, and growth through extensive on-campus work. The Strategic Accounts Manager is expected to travel extensively to call on Tier 1 university and community college targets, especially during the height of the spring and fall selling seasons. Travel also includes regional and national conferences, sales meetings, and occasional visits to the corporate offices. The Strategic Accounts Manager will report to their respective RM.How you will make an impact:Growth:Work with a team of 7 Account Executives to determine where campus visits will best drive incremental growth.Represent zyBooks on those campus visits to create new leads, move existing leads through the pipeline, and close business through presentations and face-to-face interaction.Raise the profile of zyBooks within a region by securing meetings with departmental chairs, co-chairs, course coordinators and key decision-makers, as well as heads of online learning and centers for teaching and learning innovation. Participate and lead sessions in national sales meetings, regional meetings, and regional conferences.Provide post-adoption on-boarding, training, and support for key adoptions.Knowledge:Develop deep product knowledge, valued dialog of zyBooks content, the zyBooks platform, and competitors.Develop deep knowledge of academic trends and new learning technologies.Market Development & Sales Development:Assist in identifying key customers that can play a role in advancing zyBooks content, platform, and user experience.Assist with planning and implementation of regional meetings and national sales meetings.Create a healthy and productive team environment by providing leadership and training to your Account Executives with a focus on call planning, the sales calendar, and developing higher value opportunities.

What we look for:5-7 years of sales experience in the industry preferredBachelor's DegreeDirect line manager experience in the industry preferredA record of success in sales, with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed new business sales acquisition goalsParticular experience selling to STEM college-level faculty and administratorsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work as an effective internal influencer and teammateWorking knowledge of CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.comHighly motivated and organized.
