Be a part of ALM Hopewell Center STAR SUD Treatment Program for Co-Occurring Disorders. The STAR SUD Program utilizes the Integrated Treatment for Co-occurring Disorders. The integrated treatment team will be guided by the needs and number of clients being supported. The team includes a psychiatrist, nurse, Team Leader, Associate Counselor, Community Support Specialist. Hopewell will work to ensure that team members include individuals with knowledge and training in integrated treatment skills including co-occurring disorders, motivational interviewing, stage-wise treatment, cognitive behavioral strategies, and substance use disorders treatment.SUMMARY:The Integrated Counselor for Co-Occurring Disorders team provides treatment services to individuals with mental illness and substance use disorders. Functions include attending daily team meetings and attending treatment planning meetings. Provide clinical services to individuals enrolled in SUD services. Participate as an active member of the multi-service center leadership team. The Integrated Counselor will provide individual, group, couples, and family counseling/therapy, individual skills training, medication training, crisis intervention, linkage to community resources, advocacy, assessment, and treatment planning to adult consumers with Severe and Persistent Mental Illness and Substance Use Disorders. Ensure program fidelity with the national model. Participate in on-call rotation.QUALIFICATIONS:A licensed (or provisionally licensed) QMHP with one year of full-time experience in substance use treatment. If an individual has less than one year of experience in Integrated Counselor, they must be actively acquiring 24 hours of training in Integrated Treatment specific content and receive supervision from experienced Integrated Treatment staff.ORA person who is certified or registered (not recognized) as a substance abuse professional by the Missouri Substance Abuse Counselor’s Certification Board (CCDP, CCDP-D, CCJP, CADC, CRADC, CRAADC, MAADC, RSAP-P - Registered Substance Abuse Professional, Provisional).MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:Education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in mental health and social services. Master's Preferred. Has at least one year of experience working with people with serious mental illnesses or substance abuse. Some experience providing employment services (job coaching, job development, supported employment).
