With 600 employees across the US, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Portugal, Switzerland, and the UK, we’re seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to support our growing global team.Reporting directly to our Sr. Manager, IT Administration, the Desktop Support Engineer will join a team of IT professionals to provide in-house technical PC hardware and software support for our employees. The Desktop Support Engineer will respond to IT tickets and support new employee onboarding by preparing laptops for new hires. This role will provide fast and useful technical assistance on computer systems for our employees.As a Desktop Support Engineer at 1WorldSync, responsibilities include the following:Provide quality technical service to end users.Assist in the maintenance of software licensing, configuration settings, operating systems, security updates, computer upgrades, and major and minor software upgrades.Troubleshoot and correct hardware and software issues.Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel.Monitor office network and internet connectivity to ensure all network environments are operational.Assist in the maintenance of network/server equipment and network security.Assist with coordinating technical projects including telephone, wireless, audio/video setupCarry out other IT duties, including reporting and documentation.Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures.Initial triage of support requests that enter the Infrastructure and Back Office ticket Queues.Support and Administer Atlassian(Jira) cloud-based tools and services.Other duties as assigned by the Sr. Manager, IT Systems Administration.Required Skills And ExperienceAssociate degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience required3+ years of experience in network maintenance and user technical support preferredAdditional DetailsThis is a hybrid position that requires 3 days per week at our Chicago headquarters location.This role requires the candidate to have the authority to work in, and be located in the US.This position requires up to 5% travel.
