Primary Function

The Director of Marketing is responsible for managing all marketing operations for Cove including development, planning, and execution of various marketing programs and advertising initiatives in support of Cove's growth goals and reputation. The Director of Marketing interprets business objectives and develops successful marketing campaigns from idea to execution. The individual ensures that Cove's brand is clearly defined and distributed across all channels and targeted audiences, as well as the coordination of Cove's marketing budget across various platforms. This individual will successfully manage and execute all marketing activities to include creating copy and source copy materials, marketing collateral, branding, advertising, seminars/podcasts, and website content to support the goals of Cove. The Director of Marketing is responsible for outreach, marketing, and engagement of community partners in order to increase referrals and meet targeted goals for Cove services.

SCOPE OF WORK

Design and implement a comprehensive marketing plan and strategies to create awareness of Cove's business activities.Conduct marketing analysis and research on competitors, opportunities for Cove, and stay abreast of competitor positioning.Work with leaders to implement strategies for building clinical volume (inpatient and outpatient), market share, referrals, and image.Collaborate with leaders to ensure programmatic growth targets are achieved.Collaborate with various departments within Cove to achieve Cove's strategic objectives and initiatives: Development Department, Clinical Departments, IT, etc.Build brand awareness including positioning and identifying Cove's potential customers.Drive Cove's brand strategy, including defining and imagining Cove's brand strategy to ensure that it is properly aligned with the Cove's strategic plan.Administer and manage Cove's marketing & digital marketing distribution channels/programs, including social media, internal website, email campaigns, and print to ensure brand consistency. Build and maintain a content calendar that attracts qualified audiences to our platforms.Create copy, source copy, and/or edit copy from other areas of the organization for marketing pieces, articles, and communications.Responsible for going out into the community to engage key stakeholders and referrals sources in order to increase referrals and meet targeted goals for Cove services.Effectively communicate the marketing plan to leaders within Cove.Create and manage advertising campaigns. Connect with influential media outlets and journalists to place stories about company initiatives.Produce ideas for promotional events or activities and organize them efficiently.Create and manage the budget for the marketing department in line with Cove's overall strategic plan.Manage Cove's overall online reputation as well as the online reputation for Cove's individual programs and locations. Generate positive online reviews and respond to reviews.Maximize website performance, track keyword rankings, and implement SEO strategies.Set and achieve strategic goals related to social media metrics, advertising, and marketing campaign initiatives.Manage and build email lists and campaigns.Train, supervise, evaluate, and provide oversight to teammates around the daily operations of the marketing department.Promote a culture of innovation, flexibility, and quality in all aspects of the marketing services.Promote and support the development of partnerships and integration between the service lines and marketing services.Perform other related duties necessary to accomplish the objectives of Cove and/or assigned by the CEO.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Ability to develop sales marketing strategies for Cove services. Ability to present ideas both verbally and written to multiple audiences including management, public groups, potential referral sources, and/or others in the community. Ability to follow directions and establish priorities within the work setting. Able to synthesize information and analyze material in applications within the behavioral health discipline in accordance with marketing needs and plans. Computer literacy and competence required in Microsoft Office software programs as well as a working knowledge of database analysis. Exceptional knowledge of current marketing techniques and platforms. Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills. Creative and entrepreneurial spirit. Prior experience with paid social media and search advertising campaigns. Exceptional written/verbal communication, proofreading and copy-editing skills. Ability to operate well in a fast-paced environment while successfully managing and executing multiple projects on time. Ability to build rapport with executive leaders and teammates within all levels of Cove. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to take initiative and to work both independently and as part of a team.

Supervisory Responsibilities

1-5 PeopleDirectly supervises Digital Marketing and Communications Specialist and the Community Engagement Coordinator.Carries out supervisory responsibility in accordance with Cove's policies and any applicable laws. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints, and resolving problems.

Physical Requirements

Regularly required to sit and talk/hear, stand, walk, and use hands to handle objects, tools, and controls. Regularly required to reach with hands and arms and to stoop and lift up to 10 pounds.
