Position Summary

The Marketing Coordinator will support the Marketing Manager in the development and implementation of marketing and brand strategy that resonates with consumers and drives business growth. This position will be responsible for a variety of tasks that support advertising, branding, communications, creative content development, and marketing analytics. With a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach, this role requires a creative, strategic thinker with strong organizational skills. The ideal candidate will have a background in marketing and sales support, excellent communication abilities, and an understanding of the full spectrum of the marketing function.

FunctionsManage and coordinate projects that advance specific marketing strategies and goals of The Florida Aquarium.Assist the Marketing Manager in planning, executing, and monitoring paid advertising campaigns across digital and traditional media by preparing marketing and advertising strategies, plans, and objectives; updating calendars and forecasts; trafficking final assets; and reviewing/proofing ads.Manage content needs of The Florida Aquarium website. This includes publishing and updating flaquarium.org and related sites with pertinent information and/or when website requests are submitted. Collaborate with the Communications team on copy, identify visual asset(s) and resize to fit the website specs. Work in process flows for approvals as needed.Support in the execution of a wide variety of marketing campaigns, including online, print, direct mail, email marketing, and events.Process invoices, including routing of signatures for agency and vendor billings, and track invoices through payment of vendors.Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal colleagues and external vendors.Participate in strategy discussions around campaigns, revenue generation, events, and more.Maintain the inbound correspondence for general Marketing emails.Assist in researching and identifying new growth strategies and trends, as well as business opportunities or partnerships, to increase brand awareness among targeted audiences.Provide a range of administrative support related to the daily marketing operations of the Marketing department including maintaining marketing calendars including creative timelines and deliverables.Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the company, its products, and its client base to implement effective marketing campaigns.Assist with other duties as assigned.Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, or communicationsStrong analytical skills.Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketingExperience with Google analytics, Meta analytics, and other reporting & tracking tools and methods preferredExperience working with websites. WordPress preferredExperience managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and/or display advertising campaignsExperience with A/B testing and multivariate experiments preferredHighly creative with knowledge­­­ in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform, and motivateProficient in Microsoft Office and social media suite applicationsAbility to work productively in teams and to interact professionally with diverse group of clients and staffCreative self-starter who is able to successfully manage multiple projects and respect multiple deadlines while changing priorities on a tight scheduleExperience working with Adobe Creative Cloud software a plus.Familiarity working with PC and Mac platforms.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines and operate under time pressure, with various interruptions.Competencies
