Rochester NY 14609Onsite Requirements:IBM iInfor or JDESOXJob Description:Working collaboratively with the ERPLx team and other IT teams to support the IBM I infrastructure platform and associated tools and utilities, including support of the applications utilizing the platform.Working within a team comprised of business and technical people, participate in the development, upgrade, deployment, and maintenance of the ERP system used to support manufacturing (ERPLx).This is a GxP and SOX system and needs to stay in a validated compliant state.Experience with the following:IBM, SEE/Change, Robot product suite, MIMIX, CL, SQL, RPGLE, IBM Power Hardware architecture.Ongoing responsibilities will include:Support of technologies utilized in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and operations.Analyze and troubleshoot issues that arise during development or testing, as well as troubleshooting reported issues in production.Write/update documentation in accordance with corporate directives including software validation life cycle procedures.Provide production support in response to service desk tickets in a timely manner.Install/Configure applications and configure servers for optimal performance.Create/Modify/Execute functional test scripts to support validation efforts.Provide clear and consistent communication to management with respect to status of assignments.Support the application development teams with technical issues.Assist with the design/implementation of new application security requirements.Investigate / resolve application security issues.Support SOX audit requirements.Support IBM i Disaster Recovery activities.Support third party software, Microcode and OS patching.The individual will be required to work within a team comprised of IT and businesspeople to support various GxP systems, which are subject to regulations enforced by health authorities and their legal representatives.The scope of the position includes reporting, analysis, configuration, development, troubleshooting and testing, production support and change management for these applications.This individual will also be required to work with vendors to install and configure software and assist with resolving issues.The ability to gain a deep understanding of the technical aspects of the system including server configurations, application code, and interface transactions is a must.The key customers are Supply Chain and ManufacturingThe analyst must build trusted relationships with a diverse and geographically distributed customer base, and demonstrate flexibility in communication modes and work schedule, permitting effective interaction with customers.Additionally, building and maintaining positive relationships with Information Technology peers/managers as well as vendors is essential.Education:In-depth knowledge of the IBM i operating system and the IBM power platform will be required.Technical skill sets:IBM Operating security, Performance, Journaling, trouble shooting, PTFs, firmware patching, and root cause analysis.MIMIX logical replicationDB2 for, performance, embedded SQLIBM Performance AnalysisClient Access V7R1Access Client Solutions Rational Developer for iFamiliarity with SSL Certificates for IBM I, Java and Access Client Solutions, ODBCWorking knowledge of IBM i server platform, including ability to read/write CL, RPGLE, SQL.Proficient in creating SQL queries and scripts.Working knowledge of Java and JavaScript.Ability to easily grasp new concepts and tools.Desired Skills:WebSphereERPLX Webtop, System i WorkspaceSpecial Skills:Ability to communicate effectively and interact at all levels from management to staff levelAbility to translate customer requirements into measurable design goals/inputAbility to plan and organize work, yet quickly adapt to changing priorities if necessaryStrong work ethic with ability to function in a challenging, fast-paced environmentExperience in a Life Sciences environment.Experience with software development life cycle processes and technical documentation.** This position requires candidates to be eligible to work in the United States, directly for an employer, without sponsorship now or anytime in the future **
