The Staff Accountant will support the finance team by performing various daily and monthly accounting functions according to established policies, procedures and controls. This includes general ledger accounting, reconciliations, financial analysis and financial statement preparation.
You will play an essential role maintaining the day-to-day accounting functions and upholding financial data integrity through processes, reconciliations and analytics support. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain breadth in accounting skills.
Responsibilities
Process accounts payable and receivable transactionsReconcile balance sheet accountsPrepare monthly journal entries under the direction of the ControllerComplete monthly, quarterly and year-end close processesEnsure timely and accurate financial record-keepingAssist with financial statement and general ledger auditsAnalyze accounting data and produce reportsIdentify process improvements and recommend solutionsTake on ad-hoc finance projects as needed
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance2+ years experience as a staff accountantExcellent understanding of GAAP principles and financial controlsProficiency with ERP software and Microsoft Office SuiteStrong attention to detail and time management abilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication abilitiesWell organized with capability to prioritize high workloads
