Tingley, a division of Bunzl, is seeking a Staff Accountant for our location in Piscataway, NJ. The Staff Accountant will provide financial and accounting information and analysis to key members of the team, along with ensuring the integrity of the accounting information by establishing quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
Responsibilities:Prepare balance sheet and profit and loss account reconciliations and analysisPrepare accruals for rebates and contract pricingProcess and reconciliation of intercompany transactionsMaintain supporting records of financial statements, including journal entriesPrepares and processes journal entriesProvide daily cash control, including reconciling all cash transactions to source records; make appropriate adjusting entries daily; reconcile month-end cash balances to general ledger balanceManage fixed-asset records; update electronic recordsProcess A/P clearing for freight / duty charges for USA & CANRequirements:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business (with an emphasis in Accounting) requiredMinimum of 1-3 years of accounting experienceExtensive knowledge of Excel and WordExcellent communication and organizational skillsSAP Software knowledge a plusPossess ability to work independently and as a team playerMust be accurate and detailed-orientedExcellent customer service skillsAble to prioritize multiple tasksAble to work overtime as neededMust be high-energy and self-motivated
