Highly regarded Boston investment manager is seeking a Staff Accountant to add to their firm's global accounting team. The Staff Accountant will report to the Assistant Controller and will support the firm's reporting, reconciliation, and preparation of journal entries. Most duties will relate to monthly close as well as financial analysis. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and motivated while taking on more of the group's responsibilities over time as well as strong excel and analytical skills. Position Responsibilities:Prepare journal entries, reconcile accounting, report for the firm's global accounting teamAnalyze monthly reports including monthly financial resultsCommunicate findings of reports and their analyses to managementCoordinate filings and surveys for regulatory agenciesSupport the firm's external auditMaintain and update procedure documentationAssist with ad hoc reporting and analyses as needed
Position Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree with 1-3 years experience in an accounting settingHighly organized with a keen attention to detailAnalytical with strong excel and systems skillsExceptional communication skills both written and verbalCan pivot between tasks in a fast-paced deadline driven environmentExtremely motivated and enthusiastic
