The Hilton Garden Inn - Baton Rouge is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Sales Manager.

The main responsibilities of this position include: To keep the sales effort organized at the property and be responsible for assisting the General Manager with administrative tasks related to sales, marketing, and revenue management. This position will also work Front Desk shifts.

Other Duties include but are not limited to:

Practices customer service behaviors, such as listening, initiative, responsiveness, cheerfulness, accommodation, courtesy, honesty, and professionalism.Demonstrates good communication skills and helps ensure optimum communication between all shifts, departments, and management.Makes decisions in the best interests of the property and in compliance with all applicable policies and procedures.Demonstrates positive Team spirit, helping other Team members as necessary to achieve required standards of productivity and guest care.Solicit, negotiate and book new and repeat business through various efforts (outside sales calls, mailings, referrals, networking, etc...)Manage and maintain manual sales file organization and consistency. Specifically group contracts.Receive all incoming phone calls, qualifying each one to screen out unnecessary phone trafficOversee tours of the hotel by greeting and directing visitors.Compile daily, weekly and monthly reportsManage all verbal and written correspondence for the sales effort in a timely manner: contracts, evaluations, thank you letters, etc.Assist with design and production of all marketing pieces including: Menus, flyers, mailings, e-mail blasts, promo items, etc.Manage all sales collateral materials including: business cards, stationary, brochures, sales kits, marketing

collateral etc.
