Technical/Functional Skills
1. Experience with cloud implementation with Mongo Atlas2. Experience with database performance, scaling, and tuning concepts3. Experience with database level encryption4. Experience with design/implementation of MongoDB replica sets and sharded clusters5. Subject matter expert for MongoDB within the team, with the ability to share knowledge and train other team members6. Create, implement, and maintain MongoDB Health Checks/Monitoring, and have a demonstrated ability to automate MongoDB health reporting/event notification, and corrective actions7. Identify code defects and enhancements and develop a detailed root cause analysis that can be leveraged by the product management and development teams to improve application availability and decrease the total cost of ownershipWhen performance issues arise, determine the most effective way to increase performance including scaling up or out, server configuration changes, index/query changes, etc
Roles & Responsibilities1. Perform all database management responsibilities in MongoDB for production and non-production workloads on premise and in the cloud2. Asset and Competency Development (update existing SOPs and create new one based on day-to-day activities).3. Strive for looking best practices in industry, analyze existing environment and propose remediation plans.
