Description

Summary:

Manage and coordinate activities and projects related to assigned account(s). Supervise employees assisting on the account(s). Identify growth opportunities, and adjust strategies based on market trends and client data. Work together to achieve account objectives with a focus on results.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the key point of contact with the customer.

• Focus the sales effort around identifying and fulfilling customer's current and future needs.

• Help identify opportunities where Performance Team services fit the customer's ongoing business strategy.

• Speaks with customers by phone or in person and receives instructions for shipment, storing, delivery, or general processing.

• Coordinates with warehouse personnel to oversee incoming and outgoing account activities to ensure accuracy, completeness and condition of shipments. Complies with records of orders, adjusts errors and resolves complaints.

• Projects changes in account activity and plans labor requirements accordingly. Submits written and/or verbal reports on activity and projected labor expenses.

• Other duties as assigned.

• Position is full-time and on-site.

Supervisor Responsibilities:

• Directly supervises Account Managers and Customer Service Representatives.

• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

• Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; assessing performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Experience in distribution/logistics administration or operations.

• Experience in over the road inbound and outbound transportation administration or operations.

• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with management staff, employees, and service providers.

• Exceptional problem-solving skills and proven experience of relationship management through business change and growth.

• Strong analytical and organizational skills.

• Extremely proficient with MS Office programs and strong overall system skills (YMS, TMS, WMS).

Pay Range:

$85,000-$95,000*

*The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
