We are a non-profit community organization that offers a wide range of services for every phase of life, from children to older adults.At our Acute Care facility we care for clients mental and physical health needs in a group home setting to ensure that they receive the proper treatment and care. The RN and LPN are responsible for ensuring the safety of our clients and the follow through of medical treatment by overseeing the administration of medications, checking vitals, and working with staff members and therapeutic treatment teams to achieve established goals. This position is Full-Time, 12hr shift, Nights. Sign on Bonus for qualified applicants .What we're looking for:Valid Alabama State License-CurrentPrefer Two Years Nursing ExperienceExcellent Oral/Written CommunicationKnowledge and experience with Microsoft Office SuiteWhat you'll be doing:Conduct vital signs, i.e. orthostatic blood pressure, weight, height, pulse rate informationof all patients in carePrepare discharge planningProvide basic living skillsObtain information from client regarding his/her physical statusMake inquiries of client to include any changes with him/her, symptoms, etc.Assess medication side effects and/or adverse reactionsPerform medication monitoringPerform crisis intervention techniques as neededAdminister injections, document in client's electronic medical record on a regular basisComply with OSHA regulations when administering I.M. medicationsInterface with local laboratories to obtain test resultsAnswer telephonesEnsure required training is up to dateMay be asked to work at our Crisis Respite Center for our 10-patient facilityMay be asked to sign off on nursing assessmentsMay be asked to provide approval of seclusion/restraints as necessaryFull-timeMiscellaneous:Maintain licensure in the State of AlabamaComplete and maintain documentation in a timely mannerAttend staff meetingsAbility to multi-task, prioritize and use effective listening and communication skills both oral and writtenAbility to walk throughout the facilityAbility to remain calm and effective in emergency situationsAbility to provide a safe environment and promote quality care through adherence to established standards of care and facility policies, procedures and protocols.Complete tasks as assigned by program manager or his/her designee.What we offer:Competitive Medical, dental, and vision pricesState Retirement through RSA plus an optional 457b with a company match9 paid holidays throughout the yearAbility to continually accrue up to 15 days of PTO a year (unused rolls over)We care for those impacted by behavioral health disorders, we are committed to one another through collaboration, and we are optimistic problem solvers who do what it takes to get the job done.We look forward to having you on the WellStone team.
