We see ourselves as vital contributors, playing a role in communities, the environment, and sustainability while carrying out our mission.We are looking for our newest member to join our dedicated team in the Emergency Department!About the job:Full-time position Friday-Monday swing shift4/10Triaging incoming patientsAssist DVM with patient assessment, treatment, and proceduresPartner with the patient care team regarding treatment plans, client communication, and nursing care concernsProvide client education including, but not limited to: home care instructions, medications (indications, adverse reactions), and general wellness updates on hospitalized patientsProvide monitoring and nursing care to hospitalized patientsInduce and monitor general anesthesia and sedation proceduresRecord and deliver organized rounds, discuss cases, and gather additional information as necessaryPerform in-house laboratory testing and prepare samples for outside laboratory testingCompensation Range:RVT: $25.00 - $40.00 per hourSVA: $25.00 - $36.00 per hour$8,000 Hiring Bonus

of clinical experience as an RVT or 3 years of experience as Senior Vet AssistantStrong interpersonal skills to effectively interface with staff and clients using tact, patience, professional courtesy, and exhibit confidentiality and discretion where appropriateConsistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices and estimates, and other position-related calculationsMaintain the California Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP); must obtain within 60-days of hire or transfer into this role; (this requirement is waived if incumbent holds a valid CA-RVT license)Benefits:Highly competitive and comparable wages based on experience and skill set.Partnership with Purdue VT program/scholarshipsCompetitive Vet Assistant and RVT CE allowance annuallyLicense application and renewal reimbursement for RVT’sOpportunities for growth and advancementFull-time benefits
